Our History
Cody and Stacey started Grayling Construction in 1997. We specialized in remodeling and stuck to that over the years. We mostly completed interior remodels with the occasional deck or addition. When we needed a cable handrail for our projects, we purchased from companies in the states. We were always frustrated with what we purchased. Often parts were missing, instructions were lacking, and the amount of time to install was very long and tedious. In 2013 we started fabricating our own cable handrails for our own projects. Then in 2019 we decided to start selling our cable handrail kits to contractors and DIY homeowners. When we chose to do this we knew we had to manufacture a simple product with excellent support and fast delivery times. That is how GC Handrail was started.
Our Mission
Create a simple, easy to install product with excellent customer support. Our DIY cable handrail kits are meant for the average person to be able to install. We're available all over Alaska. We also supply the tools for tensioning, crimping and cutting the cables on a rental basis. No need to waste money on tools you'll only use one.
Our Facilities
We manufacture our posts in Anchorage, Alaska.
We bring in 12 foot lengths of aluminum from mills in the United States.
We cut it, drill it, weld it, and paint it, all right here in Alaska.
We do not import our posts from China.
Our cable is imported from South Korea.
